The Emotional Battery Recharger is a uniquely designed rolling respite unit that delivers restorative and relaxation therapies directly to those who care for others. Our mobile therapy pod is a tranquil oasis for carers and healthcare workers, offering a sanctuary from the intense pressures of their roles. A sanctuary away from the chaotic healthcare environment. The interior is equipped with a zero-gravity therapeutic chair, ambient lighting, and multimedia installations for sound, visual, and vibrational therapies.

This offers carers a chance to rest, recover and recharge their emotional batteries.

Why Is This Necessary?

Caring for others, especially over long periods, can often lead to compassion fatigue and caregiver burnout. Healthcare workers and family carers frequently face severe stress due to their caregiving roles, leading to physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion. Limited access to personal care and restoration opportunities exacerbates these issues, affecting their health and the quality of care they provide.

The Emotional Battery Recharger offers a convenient, effective, and immediate solution for relieving stress and restoring mental and physical health through sound, visual and vibrational therapies, which have been shown to significantly reduce stress and improve overall health. Each session lasts approximately 15 minutes, designed to maximize rejuvenation within a limited timeframe, making it feasible for use during short breaks.

As we speak there are countless carers struggling daily to provide vital care often ignoring their own needs. There are parents sitting awake all night beside hospital beds who are feeling so helpless and lost trying to find solutions or ways to help their child get better.

Currently we are raising funds to bring this project to life. We had an incredibly generous donation from Masatto.ie who have fully funded the therapy chair. We now need to fund the rest of the pod and it's fit out. We only need €18k more to bring this project to life.
